Frequently asked questions
1. Is building insurance mandatory for me?
In most cantons, building insurance is voluntary with the exception of what are known as the GUSTAVO cantons (Geneva, Uri, Schwyz, Ticino, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Valais, Obwalden) and the cantons of Nidwalden, Vaud, Fribourg and Jura where it is mandatory or where there are special rules. We will advise you individually on your region.
2. What is all insured?
In principle, all systems, equipment and the property permanently connected to the building are insured. The exact scope is derived from your policy and the selected modules.
3. Does the protection also apply to photovoltaic systems?
Fire and natural disaster damage are often covered by cantonal insurance. For comprehensive protection, we recommend additional photovoltaic insurance, which also provides coverage against theft, loss of earnings and other damage.
4. How do I calculate the sum insured?
For an accurate assessment, we offer a personal consultation request a callback.
5. Which additional coverage is beneficial?
Depending on the location, equipment and use of your property, we recommend additional coverage such as earthquake, all-risk or environmental protection. We will clarify the details in a consultation.
