If you are temporarily unable to care for your pet due to a hospital stay or emergency, the costs for accommodation in a pet boarding facility will be covered.
The costs for emergency treatments resulting from an accident or acute illness are covered – even outside regular opening hours.
If your dog or cat shows unusual behavior, the costs for diagnosis and treatment by recognized specialists will be covered.
Upon veterinary recommendation, recognized treatments such as physiotherapy, acupuncture, osteopathy, or homeopathy are also covered.

Dental treatment || Treatment of dental problems due to accident and illness.
Dental treatments after an accident, for example for a broken tooth, and medically necessary dental treatments for illness are covered – including extractions and root canal treatments.
Emergency care || Accommodation for your pet if you are temporarily unable to care for it.
If you unexpectedly have to go to the hospital or are temporarily unable to care for your pet due to health reasons, the costs for accommodation in a pet boarding facility or care by a specialist will be covered.
Emergency treatment || Emergency treatments around the clock.
The costs for emergency treatments resulting from an accident or acute illness are covered – even outside regular opening hours and at veterinary emergency services.
Behavioral medical treatment || Diagnosis and treatment of unusual behavior.
If your dog or cat shows unusual behavior, the costs for diagnosis and treatment by recognized behavioral veterinarians will be covered.
Complementary medical treatment || Recognized natural healing methods upon veterinary recommendation.
Upon veterinary recommendation, recognized complementary medical treatments such as physiotherapy, acupuncture, osteopathy, or homeopathy are also covered.
Preventive treatment || Vaccinations, deworming, and annual check-ups.
In the Standard and All-round protection levels, preventive measures such as vaccinations, deworming, tick protection, and annual check-ups are co-financed.
Age checks || Regular preventive care for older dogs and cats.
Starting when your dog is 7 years old or your cat is 9 years old, regular preventive checkups are covered to ensure that age-related illnesses are detected early.
Medical food || Contribution to medically prescribed diet and medical food.
If the veterinarian prescribes special dietary or medicinal food as part of a treatment, the costs will be co-financed for a limited period.
Advanced treatment || Cost-intensive special treatments such as MRI, CT, or chemotherapy.
The Comprehensive protection also covers cost-intensive special treatments – for example, MRI and CT scans, chemotherapy, dialysis, or complex surgical procedures.
Pre-existing conditions || Inclusion of existing, stable illnesses as an additional option.
If the health of your pet was already impaired before the start of the insurance, certain stable pre-existing conditions can be co-insured for an additional charge, provided they are considered stable at the time of conclusion.
Worldwide protection || Protection when traveling and during stays abroad.
With the additional option of Worldwide Protection, your pet is also insured when traveling and during temporary stays abroad of up to twelve months.
Exclusions
With simpego’s pet insurance, your pet’s well-being is our top priority. However, some costs are not covered by the policy:
Illnesses diagnosed before the start of insurance and not included via the additional option for pre-existing conditions.
Purely aesthetic treatments without medical necessity.
Costs associated with breeding, pregnancy, and birth.
Treatments by unrecognized therapists.
Damage resulting from war and unrest, as well as officially ordered measures in the event of epidemics and pandemics.
